Welcome

Welcome to Web Resource Hoarder Blog and the companion website at ZTLearn.com.

  • What is the Web Resource Hoarder (WRH)?
    • The Web Resource Hoarder is a Website and now also a Blog.
    • The site started out as a way to share K-12 Education Technology resources I was creating and curating at SPARCC. The target audiences were K-12 Teachers and Students. It was originally called the Tech Web Resources site.
    • As I created and found more and more resources the site, like many of my projects, it took on a life of its own. As the site grew in size, my colleague Eric Cuts (writer of the excellent Ed Tech Blog - Control Alt Achieve), gave it the moniker "Web Resource Hoarder".
    • For a site to be link to from WRH it must offer free content and/or services. It is OK to also have paid content, but there must be a significant and useful amount of free content/services
  • What do the site and blog cover?
    • G-Suite (originally Google Apps for Education - GAFE) Resources including usage, tips, classroom projects and more.
    • Learn Something New Every Day
    • Searching & Research
    • Free eBooks, Educational Videos, Podcasts, etc.

  • What does ZTLearn mean?
    • Since my retirement from SPARCC in December 2016, I need to move the hosting of the site.
    • ZTLearn.com is simply the new site where I host my "Web Resource Hoarder" site.
    • The ZT is not an acronym, it comes from my Amateur Radio callsign K8ZT and its website k8zt.com
    • ZTLearn.com domain was available at a reasonable cost (as opposed to sites with "learning" instead of "learn" which cost much, much more).
Boy that was a long description! Go explore "The Web Resource Hoarder" site for yourself and don't blame me when you realize you have spent hours lost in the massive amounts of material and resources!
